Former SuperSport United midfielder, Cebo Meyiwa, is reviving his career with a new club.
The central midfielder has joined Uthongathi FC for the second half of the 2017/18 season.
The 24-year-old finished the first half of the campaign with Cape Town All Stars. Since being promoted from Matsatsantsa’s development to the first team in 2013, Meyiwa has gone on to ply his trade with various clubs in Mzansi, including Royal Eagles, FC Cape Town and Mpumalanga Black Aces.
“Cebo Meyiwa – the former SuperSport United and Mpumalanga Black Aces midfielder – is with Uthongathi FC. He has signed an 18-month contract with the club, after parting ways with Cape Town All Stars,” said the source.
In other news for Uthongathi, the club has also recently added former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Lucky Mzizi to its squad.
Sammy Troughton, who was recently appointed as the club’s new head coach, guided the team to their 1-0 win against Jomo Cosmos at the weekend.
