Following his exit from SuperSport United in June, the Siya crew understands that star attacker Thabo Mnyamane is close to concluding a new deal.
Mnyamane parted ways with Matsatsantsa at the end of June this year following the expiry of his contract at the club.
Siya sources previously revealed that three outfits in the top flight were keen on the player for the new 2020/21 season, with Bloemfontein Celtic, Chippa United and newly-promoted Swallows FC all making enquiries into the player’s availability.
However, sources have since confirmed that a deal with DStv Premiership newcomers, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila has been agreed to, in principle.
“Thabo is close to signing with TTM,” the source confirmed.
Mnyamane spent four years on the books of SuperSport, playing a role in at least two of their domestic cup wins - the Nedbank Cup and MTN8 trophy.
However, during the 2019/20 season, he managed just three appearances in all competitions for Matsatsantsa, falling down the pecking order, with injuries also playing a big role in his lack of game-time.
Mnyamane, who has a few weeks to secure a club before the new season gets underway, will be eager to reignite his professional career and get back to his old form, which, in the past, attracted interest from some of the bigger clubs in South Africa.
