Former Orlando Pirates striker, Siphamandla Sangweni, has surfaced at Jomo Cosmos for training with the team under the legendary Jomo Sono.
Sangweni, 28, has been without a club since his contract with Pirates expired in June last year. The forward struggled to break into Bucs’ matchday squads for official PSL matches during his time with the club.
Since joining Bucs from Black Leopards in 2015, Sangweni had loan spells at Cape Town All Stars and Baroka, before parting ways with the Soweto giants.
“Siphamandla Sangweni – the striker who was formerly with Orlando Pirates – is currently at Jomo Cosmos. He is training with the team.
“The boy is looking for a team. His contract with Pirates finished at the end of last season – on his return from Baroka. He previously trained with Bloemfontein Celtic,” said the source.
