It is understood that former Orlando Pirates midfielder is no longer on the radar of Polokwane City following his exit from the Soweto giants.
The Buccaneers confirmed parting ways with the Senegalese player following months of uncertainty over his future. The crew also reported that the 31-year-old midfielder was destined to reunite with former side Platinum Stars, however that changed when Dikwena were relegated from the top flight.
As reported by the Siya crew, the player has since surfaced at Ajax Cape Town, has the club prepare for their campaign in the National First Division.
Although indications suggested that Polokwane City were in the race to land the midfielder, the Limpopo-based side has since informed the crew that they are not after the Senegalese.
“The team has made the signings that they feel are adequate to take the team forward. We are not signing Sarr from Pirates,” said a Siya source close to Rise and Shine.
Meanwhile, since his departure from Buccaneers, no official word has emerged regarding where Sarr will be plying his trade in the upcoming season.
