A move to PSL’s newcomers Black Leopards could be an option for Ayanda Gcaba in his search for a new club after his exit from Orlando Pirates.
The defender is currently unattached and in search of a new club after parting ways with Bucs. The player’s contract with the Buccaneers ended on June 30 and the Soweto giants have opted not to extend it.
News reaching the Siya crew is that Leopards have earmarked the defender for a move to them, following their promotion to the PSL through the play-offs at the end of May.
“Black Leopards is interested in Ayanda Gcaba. There is a chance that the club may start the negotiations for the player for the new season,” said the source.
Gcaba finished last season on loan with Platinum Stars, having been on loan with them since January from Pirates. The 32-year-old had been on Pirates' books since 2012.
