News reaching the Siya crew is that former Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United midfielder Lucky Mohomi could be set to begin the search for a new club, with indications that he could part ways with GladAfrica Championship club Venda Football Academy.
Having parted ways with SuperSport in June last year, Mohomi struggled to get a club in the DStv Premiership until he decided to sign with VFA in September.
However, indications are that the club could release the 30-year-old Mamelodi-born player as part of their plans for the second round of the season.
“Lucky Mohomi could be released from Venda Football Academy. His aim in joining the GladAfrica Championship club was to play regularly so as to revive his career after some of the disappointments he has had at his previous clubs. But the club seems to have other plans and he is unlikely to finish the season with the team as things stand,” said the source.
