Ex-Chiefs Target In Search Of New Club
Former Kaizer Chiefs Target In Club Search
A search for a new club for a former Kaizer Chiefs transfer target is underway, during this January transfer window period.
Tshwarelo Bereng, who has been with Chippa United, is currently in search of a new club. The midfielder has been spotted at Highlands Park and training under the NFD club’s head coach, Owen da Gama.
“Tshwarelo Bereng is at Highlands Park. He is training with the team at the moment,” a source told the Siya crew.
Prior to the start of the season, the 27-year-old was linked to Kaizer Chiefs. He struggled for game-time with Chippa this season, which led to him parting ways with the club.
Contacted for comment, media officer at the top of the table NFD side, Sbonelo Ngidi, confirmed that The Lions of the North have signed four players so far during this window period.
“We have signed four players so far. It’s (Moeketsi) Sekola, who has come back from loan at Chippa. We have also signed Pentjie Zulu. He comes from Mthatha Bucks. We also have Luckyboy Mokoena from Real Kings, as well as Sabelo Nyembe from Witbank Spurs,” said Ngidi.
The Gauteng club’s chase for promotion to return to the PSL will continue this weekend, with a match against resurgent Ubuntu Cape Town, at Parow Park in the Mother City on Sunday.
