Former Kaizer Chiefs striker, Siphelele Mthembu is set to make a decision about his immediate future in the coming weeks.
The 30-year-old centre-forward saw his contract with Free State Stars come to an end on June 30, having a successful 2017/18 campaign, helping Ea Lla Koto lift the 2018 Nedbank Cup.
The player’s representative, Miguel Paiva from Luso Africa player management confirmed that Mthembu is currently assessing his options, with three Premier Soccer League outfits and a club abroad believed to be interested in his services.
“Yes, we have received contact from local clubs interested in Siphelele following his positive 2017/18 season and in recent days interest has arisen in Saudi Arabia,” Paiva told Soccer Laduma.
Stars are also believed to want the player to continue on their books for the new season, however, Mthembu is expected to make a decision in the coming weeks and it remains to be seen where the player will be plying his trade in the 2018/19 campaign.
