The Siya crew has been reliably informed that a new deal is on the cards for Ramahlwe Mphahlele since leaving Kaizer Chiefs, with the veteran understood to have entered discussions with a DStv Premiership club.
Mphahlele parted ways with Chiefs in June after the club opted against extending his contract when it expired.
The 32-year-old, who had arrived in Naturena in 2016 from Mamelodi Sundowns, recently surfaced at AmaZulu and was part of coach Brandon Truter’s side during the KZN Premier’s Cup last weekend.
Indications from sources close to Usuthu are that talks have begun with the defender, with a view to offer him a contract.
“The club has entered into negotiations with Rama,” confirmed a source.
AmaZulu are scheduled to get their 2022/23 DStv Premiership campaign underway on Sunday with an away match against TS Galaxy.
