A former Kaizer Chiefs defender has surfaced at Ajax Cape Town.
As reported yesterday by the Siya crew, Mamelodi Sundowns’ Keletso Makgalwa and Khayelihle Shozi are currently training with the Urban Warriors, with the club expected to make an announcement about the duo.
It has since been revealed to the crew that former Chiefs defender, Sibusiso Khumalo has also surfaced at Ajax, with sources indicating that the club is set to make a decision on whether they will be adding the experienced defender to their books for the new 2018/19 season.
Chiefs released Khumalo in June this year, with the player having one more year left on contract at the time.
However, the player is looking to get back to action as soon as possible and despite circumstances at Ajax, seems keen to help the Urban Warriors in the new season.
Ajax are set to interdict the start of the 2018/19 Absa Premiership campaign after the official fixtures were released yesterday.
The league is set to get underway on August 03 and 04, despite Judge Denise Fischer’s ruling of having Ajax reinstated into 15th position on the Absa Premiership standings and deeming the promotion/relegation play-offs null and void.
The PSL is set to appeal Judge Fischer’s ruling while also confirming that the league will be underway on the scheduled date despite the ongoing legal battles.
