A return to the topflight is bandied about for former Kaizer Chiefs and Black Leopards assistant coach Patrick Mabedi.
Mabedi has been unattached since last year, following his stint at Leopards. Having started the season with Lidoda Duvha, where he served as an assistant to French coach Lionel Soccoia, Mabedi parted ways with the club in September as part of the coaching changes that took place at the Limpopo outfit.
The Siya crew has been informed that the former Chiefs defender has his representatives in talks with clubs about getting him back in the game next season.
“Patrick Mabedi is currently unattached and weighing up his options at the moment. Look, that guy is highly qualified as he has UEFA A and B licences, as well as a CAF A licence. His representatives are working on getting him a club for next season,” said the source.
Prior to surfacing at Leopards, the Malawian had served as assistant and caretaker coach respectively at Chiefs.
