The Siya crew can confirm that that former Black Leopards and Baroka FC defender, Lebogang Mabotja is training with Chippa United after being released by Bakgaga this past Friday.
The 26-year-old defender left Leopards in January after failing to reach an agreement on a new deal and subsequently joined Baroka.
However, the player’s representative Palesa Mkhize of Pulse Players Management confirmed with Soccer Laduma that Mabotja had been released by Baroka and is training with the Chilli Boys.
“Mabotja was released by Baroka this past Friday. Today (Monday) he will be training with Chippa United. He is very excited and looking at the new chapter in his career. Baroka handed us his clearance," said Mkhize.
The left-back has plied the bulk of career in the National First Division having also played for Roses United.
