It is believed that the former Bidvest Wits and South Africa under-23 goalkeeper Kyle Peters is training with Highlands Park.
The 25-year-old shot stopper joined the Clever Boys in 2014 from Cape Town All Stars on a one-year deal with the option to renew. Wits renewed their option and subsequently, Peters spent another year at the club.
Now the Siya crew understands that the goalkeeper is currently with the Lions of the North in a bid to revive his career.
“He has been training with Highlands Park since leaving Wits and he has impressed the technical team. He's done well for himself,” said a source close to the player.
The Cape Town-based goalkeeper joined Wits after impressing at Cape Town All Stars and in national colours. However, upon joining Wits, Peters found it difficult to break into the first team roaster making only three league appearances for Wits in the seasons he spent at the club.
