Mamelodi Sundowns could release one more foreigner from their books should they look to register Gaston Sirino for the 2017/18 campaign.
It was revealed by the Siya crew yesterday that reports in Bolivian media revealed that the president of Club Bolivar confirmed that Uruguayan attacker; Sirino is on his way to Sundowns.
Masandawana confirmed the signing of Jeremy Brockie from SuperSport United yesterday, but are yet to issue any confirmation about Sirino’s signature.
As reported earlier yesterday, the Brazilians are close to finalising a deal for the 26-year-old, although, at this point, will need to free up a spot on their foreign quota in order to register the player for the current 2017/18 campaign.
According to sources close to the Sundowns camp, Algerian Fares Hachi is currently heavily linked with a move away from the Chloorkop-based club, this after it was reported yesterday that Yannick Zakri is close to concluding a loan move to Ajax Cape Town.
Zakri’s pending move away from Sundowns has since opened up a foreign quota spot for Brockie to be registered and it remains to be seen whether Hachi is set to make way for the incoming Sirino.
Sundowns currently have foreigners, Hachi, Brockie, Soumahoro Bangaly, Brimah Razak and Ricardo Nascimento on their books.
