Ex-Amakhosi Man Impressing At Maritzburg
Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Keagan Buchanan, is believed to have impressed Fadlu Davids during his training spell with Maritzburg United, with the club looking to hand him a deal.
The 26-year-old was never really given the chance to showcase his talents at Naturena following a move from Bloemfontein Celtic back in 2016, and he was given a clean slate to work off last month when a mutual termination of his Amakhosi contract was agreed.
Siya sources revealed that Buchanan was one of a number of players training with Maritzburg as Davids looks to try and bolster his squad for the new campaign, and the Siya crew have now been informed that he may have done enough to land himself a contract.
Meanwhile, Tichaona Mabvura, Jabulani Shongwe and Edmore Chirambadare have also been training at the club, although it is unknown at this stage as to what mark they have left on Davids and his technical team.
Maritzburg took Siyanda Xulu as a free agent after he left Chiefs last season before he went on to be named Defender of the Season, and they will no doubt be hoping for similar success with Buchanan if a deal does in fact happen.
