Loan Move A Blessing For Amakhosi Starlet?
Emmanuel Letlotlo Could Be Sent On Loan By Kaizer Chiefs
The Siya crew reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma that Kaizer Chiefs could send one of their starlets out on loan, something that could be a blessing for the young striker.
Emmanuel Letlotlo hasn’t played in 12 months now since sustaining a bad knee injury in training, and despite being back in full training, neither Steve Komphela nor Patrick Mabedi has opted to return him to the squad.
The 22-year-old forward was promoted to the senior team from the Amakhosi youth ranks in 2016 after impressing in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge, however, is still waiting for his first goal in the famous Gold and Black and has made only six appearances.
It is thought that the striker could be sent out on loan for part of, if not all, next season in search of regular game-time, with the Amakhosi still confident of him living up to his original potential.
While Letlotlo will be keen to make a name for himself at Naturena, a short-term exit could certainly be a blessing in disguise as he looks to get his confidence and match fitness back to where it needs to be.
The crew tried to contact Chiefs’ communications manager, Vina Maphosa, for comment on the future of the talented young player, however, received no response by the time of going to print.
