The former Banyana midfielder has been at the helm of Banyana since August of 2016, following Vera Pauw’s departure. During her tenure, Ellis has guided Banyana to receive the accolade of African National Women’s Team of the Year.

“Desiree has proven herself a valuable asset to the technical team during her time as interim coach. However, the association is currently going through an important time,” revealed the source.
