SSU Blow As Defender Ruled Out For Season
SuperSport United defender, Denwin Farmer, suffered a blow last night as he was ruled out for the remainder of the season with a shoulder injury.
Farmer, 20, dislocated his shoulder in training back in February, an injury that robbed him of a few weeks of game time prior to him getting back and helping his side reach the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup.
However, the defender was hit with another setback last night shortly after coming on as a substitute when his shoulder dislocated again and he had to be taken off after just a few minutes on the field.
The Siya crew has been informed that Farmer will now undergo an operation on his shoulder to make sure that it doesn’t give him problems again going further, however, it will mean that he won’t be able to feature again at all this season.
SuperSport find out their opponents at the CAF draw today and with Farmer facing around eight weeks out, he may be back in time to play a role in their efforts on the continent towards the end of June/early July.
