Mamelodi Sundowns managed to agree to terms of a new deal for Ricardo Nascimento after it was revealed by the Siya crew that the club was looking to re-sign the player.
It was reported in the past that Sundowns agreed to part ways with the centre back following his long-term injury and after opting against registering the player for the 2017/18 campaign.
However, recently it was revealed to the crew that Masandawana were looking to bring the player back on board in the upcoming January transfer window period.
Siya sources have since confirmed that the Brazilians and Nascimento have agreed to a new deal at the Chloorkop-based club, with Sundowns expected to make an official announcement in the coming weeks.
However, Sundowns will need to free up space on their foreign quota before they are able to register Nascimento for the rest of the 2017/18 campaign, as the Brazilians already have all five of their spots filled.
Now, it remains to be seen when the club will make an announcement about the player and how soon the 30-year-old will return to full fitness.
