A decision is imminent on a former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder who is eyeing his next move after leaving Chloorkop.
Having parted ways with the Brazilians in July, Aubrey Ngoma hasn’t had any luck as yet in his search for a new club.
The 32-year-old ex-Orlando Pirates player has spent the last few weeks training with Sekhukhune United, though indications are that there are different opinions at the moment on whether to offer him a deal or to allow him to look elsewhere.
According to well-placed sources, while Sekhukhune head coach MacDonald Makhubedu has been impressed with the highly-rated player from what he has seen of him in training, some of the decision-makers at the club are sceptical about offering the ex-Cape Town City winger a deal at this stage.
“Aubrey Ngoma has done well in training at Sekhukhune United and he has impressed the club’s head coach MacDonald Makhubedu,” confirmed the source.
“In fact, the coach would like to have the player signed to add him to his team that has done well so far in its first season in the PSL. However, he won’t be the only one making the decision and it has to be done collectively by all those involved in decision-making. So, as it stands, the chances of him (Ngoma) being signed are 50/50 but there should be an update on that soon,” the source concluded.
