Chiefs Say No To Another Trialist
Kaizer Chiefs seem to have made their mind up on another of their trialists, with striker, Darren Lurie, having now stopped training with Steve Komphela’s side.
The Amakhosi have had three new faces at the club of late as Komphela and his technical team took a look at Lurie, Arnaldo Gomes and Jonatan Philippe, however now just the Argentine remains.
It was reported by the Siya crew earlier this week that teenager, Gomes, had been informed that he would not be getting a contract at the club, and it would appear that the same fate has befallen 25-year-old Lurie.
The former Mpumalanga Black Aces and Moroka Swallows man is no longer training with the Glamour Boys and will no doubt be on the lookout for the next step in his career elsewhere.
As previously revealed by the crew, Philippe is looking likely to join Chiefs for the new season after a two-year deal was agreed in principle, and he could put pen to paper in the coming week or so if all goes to plan.
