Malesela is currently unattached. He has been without a club since parting ways with Chippa earlier this season.

Malesela parted ways with Chippa in September and according to sources, he is one of the favourites to take over the role of head coach at Mthatha Bucks in the National First Division.

According to sources, Bucks are expected to name a new head coach for the position vacated by Ian Palmer last month.

Amathol’amnyama are 12th on the NFD log with three wins from 13 games. The team hasn’t won in three games since making technical team changes by bringing in Mondli Funani on a caretaker basis to replace Palmer.

“Mthatha Bucks are expected to name a new coach and that man could be Dan Malesela. The club is in the process of finalising the appointment of the new coach,” said the source.

Malesela has also been linked with Polokwane City, but it looks like the Limpopo outfit is set to continue with Bernard Molekwa in charge of the side, after the team’s progress under his guidance.
