Newly crowned Nedbank Cup champions have identified a Namibian midfielder as a transfer target for their team.

Fresh from winning the prestigious trophy, Free State Stars are keen on adding Deon Hotto to coach Luc Eymael’s squad for next season.

The 27-year-old Namibian finished the season with Bloemfontein Celtic, where he has been one of the key players for coach Veselin Jelusic. 

“Free State Stars are interested in Deon Hotto from Bloemfontein Celtic. Having worked with the player briefly, during his stint with Celtic, Luc Eymael likes the player and would be keen to reunite with him,” said the source.

Ea Lla Koto were crowned Nedbank Cup champions on Saturday evening, following their hard-fought 1-0 win over Maritzburg United in the final at the Cape Town Stadium.
