Could Sundowns Pull Off Any Of These High-Profile Signings?

Mamelodi Sundowns have been linked with several players ahead of the upcoming July/August transfer window and Soccer Laduma takes a look at some high-profile signings that could take place.

Andile Jali:

As reported in the past weeks, talks between Sundowns and Jali’s camp have been heating up, with sources revealing that the two parties are looking to come to a mutual agreement regarding the player’s personal demands. However, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are also in the race to land the player.

As previously revealed by the crew, Jali could be cashing in on a lucrative deal should he finally put pen to paper on a PSL contract.

George Maluleka:

The Siya crew reported in this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma that the Brazilians are keen on Maluleka’s services, with sources revealing that Sundowns are looking at proposing a potential swap deal to Chiefs for the player’s signature.

Abbubaker Mobara:

It has been reported in the past that Sundowns have joined Wits in a race to land Mobara’s signature from Orlando Pirates. Pirates are keen to hold on to the player’s services, so should Sundowns pursue their interest any further, they may need to table an impressive offer to the Buccaneers.

Mosa Lebusa:

The current team captain of Ajax Cape Town has been heavily linked with a move away from the Urban Warriors, with Sundowns showing interest in the player for quite some time now.

The Brazilians could look to approach Ajax with an offer in the coming weeks, as they look to find Tebogo Langerman’s long-term replacement.

However, indications are that Ajax will not let the player go cheaply and will need an impressive offer to tempt them into a sale.

Tokelo Rantie and Lebogang Manyama:

According to Siya sources, Sundowns have shown interest in luring both these players back to the Premier Soccer League, with Rantie currently a free agent and Manyama linked with a move away from Atiker Konyaspor in Turkey.

Brilliant Khuzwayo:

As previously reported, Sundowns have joined in on the race to land Khuzwayo’s signature, with his stay with Chiefs coming to an end on June 30.

Sundowns are expected to make several changes to their squad in the coming days and it remains to be seen which of these players will be on their books in the new 2018/19 season.
