Cape Town City chairman, John Comitis could once again be pulling the wool over the public’s eyes with regards to a possible transfer.
As reported in the past by the Siya crew, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns are both believed to be showing interest in the services of Craig Martin, after tracking the player for quite some time now.

Most recently, the Siya crew reported that City and Pirates are close to agreeing on terms, however, the source added that Martins is yet to agree on the move.
However, City chairman, Comitis has denied the news in local media, stating that there have been no discussions with the parties involved.
Is the chairman playing mind games in the local media? He is known to be smart when it comes to the business aspect of football and a master at marketing his players.
An example of which was when Comitis has in the past denied transfers prior to them taking place.
The Siya crew reported that Lyle Lakay was set to finalise his move to Sundowns, with Comitis also denying the news at the time.
“I haven’t done so, (agreed with Sundowns. I know that there was interest from Sundowns and I know that there is interest from Wits. I was more interested in looking at the Wits option because it was going to include a player swap, but at this stage, nothing has materialised,” Comitis told the Siya crew on July, 09, with Lakay subsequently putting pen to paper on a contract with Sundowns four days later.
City have also taken to their official Twitter account in the past to deny Teko Modise’s move to the club.
However, it remains to be seen whether history will repeat itself, with regards to Martin’s move to Pirates and whether it will materialise in the upcoming January transfer window.
