Word reaching the Siya crew is that three Absa Premiership clubs are keeping a close eye on Zambian international, Clatous Chama, after he impressed at the COSAFA Cup.
Chama was unable to help his side clinch the title as they fell at the final hurdle to champions, Zimbabwe, however, the 26-year-old did play an important role in their march to the final in Polokwane.
Now, according to Siya sources, the former ZESCO United man has attracted interest from the likes of Baroka FC, Polokwane City and the newly-promoted Highlands Park, with all three considering making a move for him now that he is a free agent.
The COSAFA Cup has already put several players in the shop window who went on to secure moves to the Absa Premiership due to their performances, and Chama will no doubt be considering the possibility of making a switch to South Africa himself, following in the footsteps of players such as Justin Shonga and Augustine Mulenga.
Faustino Mukandila, the player’s agent, was contacted for comment on the matter, however, was unavailable for a response at this stage.
