Chippa United could be at risk of losing one of their star in a few months’ time if the club does not act quickly in sorting out his future.

Having joined the Chilli Boys in December last year from the Tshwane University of Technology, Thabiso Lebitso will see his contract with the Eastern Cape outfit come to an end at the end of the season.

The Port Elizabeth outfit has been yet to open talks with the player or his representatives about a new deal.

“Thabiso Lebitso is on the last year of his contract with Chippa United. He has been playing regularly since towards the end of last season during the bio-bubble. The club hasn’t said anything as yet regarding their plans and risk losing the player as there has been interest in his services from Gauteng,” said the source.
