Chippa United are believed to be close to concluding a deal with a striker to be added to the club’s current squad.
Having already signed the likes of Thabo Rakhale, Mxolisi Macuphu, Linda Mntambo and Bantu Mzwakali during the current transfer window, the Chilli Boys are expected to further strengthen Teboho Moloi’s squad.
The Port Elizabeth club’s target is their former player in Edward Manqele. It was after his stint with Chippa that in August 2015 Manqele secured a move to Kaizer Chiefs.
Following the player’s time with Free State Stars this season – after he completed his return to the Bethlehem club – the 30-year-old is now set for a return to another former club.
According to sources, the deal for the Randfontein-born player to re-join Chippa is close to conclusion, with the Eastern Cape outfit expected to announce him as their new signing in due course.
