Chippa United Have Replaced Orlando Pirates Bound Defender
An Orlando Pirates-bound Chippa United defender has already been replaced, after the finalisation of a new deal with another talented player to join the Port Elizabeth outfit for the new season.
With Paseka Mako set to appear in the colours of Pirates in the new season, after being signed by the Soweto giants from Chippa, the Chilli Boys have moved quickly in filling the void to be left by the Bafana Bafana player in the left-back position for coach Dan Malesela’s team.
The Siya crew has learnt that Chippa have signed Thapelo Tlabakwe from Jomo Cosmos. The 24-year-old defender, who is a Platinum Stars development product, has been with Ezenkosi in the NFD since last year.
The Rustenburg-born player has been signed on a three-year deal by Chippa, as confirmed to the Siya crew by sources in the know.
Tlabakwe previously also played for the North West University team in the Varsity Cup, where he excelled with his impressive performances as a striker, before being converted into a left-back at Cosmos.
