Sundowns Keeper Lands PSL Switch
After two years with Mamelodi Sundowns, Cape Umoya United have snapped up a new goalkeeper from the reigning Absa Premiership champions.
Gershin Kock, who is 26-years-old, has spent the last two seasons contracted to Masandawana after leaving Cape Town, but now he’s heading home.
The player’s agent, Rui Alves, confirmed that Kock has penned a two-year deal with Roger de Sa’s side ahead of the 2019/20 season in the National First Division.
Alves told the Siya crew, “Gershin had a good two years at Sundowns and he learned a lot... There was an opportunity to stay on there, but at this stage of his career he needs to be playing. There were other offers, but he decided to join Cape Umoya.
“He wants to thank Sundowns for the opportunity and is grateful to have been part of the club.”
