Cape Town City could be parting ways with one of their strikers, although it is yet to be confirmed by the club
According to Siya sources, Nana Akosah-Bempah is believed to be heading out the exit door at the Mother City-based club, although City are yet to confirm the decision about the player’s immediate future.
The 21-year-old made eight appearances in all competitions for City this year, falling behind on the pecking order, with Kermit Erasmus or Siphelele Mthembu usually first choice in that department.
However, in addition, Siphelele Mthembu will see his contract come to an end on June 30 and should City not extend the player’s deal, the 31-year-old could leave the club as a free agent.
Indications are that City could likely approach the market for a new addition to their striker department and it remains to be seen who they will look to add to their squad for the new season.
The Citizens ended off the Absa Premiership campaign at fourth place on the league standings and will look to once again challenge for the title in the new season.
