Cape Town City have once again made enquiries into the availability of one of Mamelodi Sundowns’ attackers.
It was reported in September 2019 that City submitted a bid to Sundowns for Aubrey Ngoma’s services on loan, however, the player’s representative, Vasili Barbis confirmed to the Siya crew that the Brazilians rejected the Mother City-based club’s attempts.
“Yes, it’s true that Sundowns have rejected a loan bid for Aubrey from City, but we’re still hopeful that something can happen,” Barbis said at the time.
Siya sources have since informed the crew that City have once again made enquiries at Sundowns, to bring Ngoma to the Citizens for at least the rest of the season.
Ngoma has made just three appearances in all competitions for Sundowns so far this season and has long been linked with a move away from the club in order to find game-time elsewhere.
However, with just four more days to go before the January transfer window closes shut, it remains to be seen whether the Citizens will push for a last minute deal for the 30-year-old.
