With Benni McCarthy eager to make Zukile Kewuti a signing for next season, the Siya crew has been informed where his parent club Cape Town City stands on the matter.
Kewuti joined Usuthu on a loan deal for the rest of the season in February after struggling to break into the Citizens team during the first half of the campaign. The 25-year-old reunited with McCarthy at AmaZulu and has made 10 appearances for the club.
McCarthy has expressed an interest in signing Kewuti on a permanent deal before the start of next season, but said they would not be held to ransom, warning the Citizens that they are not desperate to sign the Cape-born midfielder.
City are more than willing to sell Kewuti to Usuthu and the only thing that could stand in the way of Kewuti making a permanent move to KZN, is if the price tag City put on him is too high.
The player will have to wait until the end of the season before he knows where he will be playing his football next term.
