City Part Ways With Defender
Cape Town City Have Parted Ways With One Of Their Foreign Centre Backs Joao Mussica
Cape Town City have parted ways with one of their centre backs who failed to make a single appearance since his arrival.
Mozambican international, Joao Pedro Mussica, who was signed by the club prior to the appointment of the current head coach, Benni McCarthy, has parted ways with the Mother City-based club.
The Maputo-born centre back failed to make a single appearance since his arrival early in July last year, falling far down the pecking order at the club.
Robyn Johannes, Taariq Fielies and Tshepo Gumede have been the regular centre backs in Head Coach McCarthy’s setup, with the club having also recently brought in Kwanda Mngonyama to bolster their defensive department.
The club has since completed four new signings in the current January transfer window, adding Masoud Juma, Bradley Ralani, Kwanda Mngonyama and Allan Kateregga.
