It has been reported in the past that City were showing a keen interest in Brilliant Khuzwayo, with the player currently in the final six months of his contract at Naturena.

However, sources have since informed the crew that City also identified Chippa United’s Brighton Mhlongo, as another potential target before the window closes shut on January 31.

Indications are that City are eager to strengthen their goalkeeping department, after releasing both Tatenda Mkuruva and Samora Motloung from their books.

City currently have Sage Stephens and Shuaib Walters as their goalkeepers for the 2017/18 season and despite Stephens cementing his place in Benni McCarthy’s starting line-up, Siya sources have indicated that the head coach is still eager to find his number one man between the sticks.

Now, it remains to be seen whether City will look to approach either Chiefs or Chippa for the services of their goalkeepers.

Theres no point in Khuzwayo staying at Naturena as Khune has cemented the goalkeeping department. Cape Town City buy this guy, he deserves a break.

Nhlanhla should go to Cape Town City because the age in not on his side either, to wait for Itumeleng to get injured or suspended to get game time is not doing him any favour. Life is about taking risks, come out of your comfort zone boy and man up. It is all up to yourself though.
