Cape Town City’s new signing, Tokelo Rantie is still nearing full fitness.
The Citizens will welcome Kaizer Chiefs to the Cape Town Stadium this weekend in an Absa Premiership clash following the end of the international break.
However, despite City having secured the signature of Rantie two weeks ago, the player is still not yet match fit, after being out of action for several months.

It has been confirmed to the Siya crew that the player will not be available for selection in City’s Absa Premiership encounter against Chiefs on Saturday, September 15.
McCarthy previously confirmed to the media that he is hopeful to have Rantie seemingly fit by the time the Citizens face off with SuperSport United in the final of the 2018 MTN8 competition which takes place on September 29, this year.
“I am not saying by Chiefs, or Pirates we might have our best and strongest 11, but we have the fighting spirited team that we always had but I think for the final, hopefully by then, we have a 60, 70, 80% (Tokelo) Rantie, you know, which is still better than most in the league,” McCarthy said prior to the international break.
