City Chase Ex-Amakhosi Striker
Cape Town City Are Interested In Ex-Kaizer Chiefs Man, Kingston Nkhatha
Cape Town City are believed to be interested in SuperSport United’s Kingston Nkhatha as they look to bolster their attacking force for the new season.
City have already lost Bhongolethu Jayiya after he left to join Kaizer Chiefs at the end of his contract, and there also seems to be a chance of them losing Aubrey Ngoma and/or Lebogang Manyama before the transfer window closes at the end of this month.
With that in mind, the Siya crew have been informed that City earmarked Nkhatha as a potential signing to work with Benni McCarthy in the new season, especially if they do end up losing Manyama, their main attacker.
The 31-year-old scored in every domestic competition that SuperSport played in last season under Stuart Baxter, including the final nail in Orlando Pirates’ coffin during the Nedbank Cup final in June.
However, with Bradley Grobler fit again and following the signing of Prince Dube from Highlanders, SuperSport may be open to the possibility of letting Nkhatha leave the club, should the right offer come their way.
The crew will keep an eye on Nkhatha’s situation in the coming weeks to see if City increase their pursuit of the Zimbabwean international before the window slams shut on August 31st.
