A move to the PSL could be on the cards for a Cameroonian striker, who has been linked with more than one club in Mzansi’s top tier.
Bidvest Wits is the latest club believed to be showing interest in Christian Epoupa. The Cameroonian striker, who is currently on the books of Dynamos in Zimbabwe, was previously linked with Ajax Cape Town.
According to reports in Zimbabwe, Wits and Polokwane City are the two clubs showing interest in the forward.
Dynamos chairman Keni Mubaiwa has been quoted as confirming talks for the forward with clubs in South Africa.
“A number of clubs from South Africa have made contact with Christian. Some were here in the past few days for negotiations and others have been talking to us on the phone. We have not agreed with anyone because of the price. We have put our value on the player, which the teams are saying they cannot meet. The good thing on our part is that we are not desperate to sell, so we will try to get the full value of what we think our player is worth,” Mubaiwa has been quoted as saying on Zimbabwe’s NewsDay.
Epoupa scored 12 goals in the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League this past season.
