Chiefs Legend Fills In As Keeper Coach
Brian Baloyi Has Taken Over From Alex Revoredo At Kaizer Chiefs
Former Kaizer Chiefs star, Brian Baloyi, has taken on the role of head goalkeeper coach at the club following the sudden passing of Alex Revoredo.
Revoredo, 58, was brought into the club last year to head up the goalkeeping division as he looked to improve Itumeleng Khune, Brilliant Khuzwayo and the other shot-stoppers at Naturena.
However, the tragic news of his passing was announced recently, with the Brazilian not recovering from a short illness that saw him hospitalised.
Now, while it remains to be seen whether Chiefs are on the lookout for Revoredo’s replacement, the Siya crew has been informed that it is Baloyi who has taken over in the meantime, as he had occupied the position before.
Chiefs’ next game will see them take on Cape Town City next weekend, by which time the Citizens will know whether they have a spot in this year’s MTN8 final or not.
