SA Teen Spotted Training At German Club
A 17-year-old South African youth international, Bradley Cross, could be the next big star in Mzansi, and he’s been spotted playing for Schalke 04 in Germany.
The teenager is in possession of a European passport, meaning that he does not need to worry about visa or work permit issues in Europe, and he’s made his way onto Schalke’s radar.
Cross, a product of the esteemed Black Aces youth setup, was seen playing for the German side’s U19 side last week as they won a youth tournament that included the likes of Barcelona, Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur among others.
The youngster, who will turn 18 in January, can be seen celebrating his side’s trophy win after they beat Inter Milan in the final, and was also named on the club’s official website as a guest player two weekends ago as they beat Werder Bremen 4-2 in a friendly.
Cross joined Bidvest Wits on a permanent move not so long ago, following a successful loan spell with the club, but if he manages to impress in Germany then he could potentially be on the move once again.
At this point in time, it remains to be seen what lies ahead for the talented defender, although he will be happy that his abilities are being recognised outside of South Africa.
