SuperSport Weighing Up Khumalo Offer
SuperSport United are believed to be weighing up a possible move for Bongani Khumalo, with the club looking to bolster their backline before the season gets underway.
The 31-year-old centre back has already had two spells with Matsatsantsa in the past and is currently with the club in Polokwane on their pre-season campaign as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.
SuperSport are known to be on the lookout for a new central defender as they provide cover for the likes of Clayton Daniels and Morgan Gould, especially given the departure of Denwin Farmer for Maritzburg United.
While Khumalo – who also attracted Kaizer Chiefs’ interest – is thought to have impressed at SuperSport so far, the Siya crew has been informed that there is no contract in place at this moment in time, with SuperSport yet to make a final decision on whether to bring him back on board or not.
The Premier Soccer League’s transfer window will close at the end of next month, though Khumalo, as a free agent, will not be affected by that.
