Interest In Siwelele Defender Mounts
Bloemfontein Celtic’s Alfred Ndengane is being tracked by Cape Town City.
News reaching the Siya crew is that the interest in Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder-cum-defender, Alfred Ndengane, is escalating as he approaches the final 18 months of his contract.
Ndengane had been linked with a move to Orlando Pirates ahead of the 2017/18 season, however, the Soweto giants landed up signing his teammate, Musa Nyatama, instead.
Now, as the 30-year-old enters into the last 18 months of his contract, it seems as though clubs are keeping a close eye on his situation. According to sources in the know, Cape Town City are keeping close tabs on the player’s situation.
“Cape Town City is interested in Alfred Ndengane. The club would like to bring the player back home in Cape Town,” said the source.
Ndengane will see his contract with Siwelele expire at the end of the 2018/19 season and while the club is believed to be keen on extending his stay, they have not agreed to a new deal as yet.
Should the player opt to not sign a new deal, he will be at liberty to sign a pre-contract elsewhere in just over one year.
