News reaching the Siya crew is that Bloemfontein Celtic could be faced with another multimillion-rand claim from a disgruntled employee, as off the field issues seem to be causing more drama at the Mangaung club.

As reported by the Siya crew, Celtic recently made changes to the club's management after CEO Khumbulani Konco was suspended two weeks ago following a verbal scuffle with club boss Max Tshabalala.

The latest information reaching the desk of the Siya crew is that Tshabalala is not prepared to reinstate Konco in his position at the club, with the latter believed to be assessing his options about moving away from the club, according to sources.

As a result, Konco is said to be taking the legal route against Tshabalala in a case of unfair dismissal and is believed to be looking for around R5 million in compensation, according to sources close to the Free State club.

“It’s something very serious and the chairman is not prepared to reinstate the CEO back to his position. The CEO is opening a case of unfair dismissal and is asking for around R5 million,” said the source.

Meanwhile, Celtic are still to pay their former goalkeeper Patrick Tignyemb in the region of R3 million over unfair labour practice as ordered by the world’s football governing body FIFA, after the club terminated the Cameroonian’s contract in 2019.

Celtic were found to be in breach of contract and subsequently banned by FIFA from signing players in the transfer window.   

The Siya crew made numerous attempts to engage Celtic, but the club declined to comment.
