Shane Thompson – a former Jomo Cosmos defender, has completed a move to Black Leopards after plying his trade for Mthatha Bucks during the first half of the season.

“It’s a done deal. Black Leopards have strengthened their defence with the addition of former Jomo Cosmos and Mthatha Bucks defender Shane Thompson to the squad – on a two and a half year deal,” said the source.

Contacted for comment, Lidoda Duvha’s team manager Elijah Mulaudzi confirmed to the Siya crew that Thompson is with the Limpopo outfit.

Thompson is a utility player who can play either as a centre back or a defensive midfielder. The 23-year-old is expected to be a good addition to Leopards’ squad for the second half of the 2017/18 NFD campaign.

Thompson joins the likes of former AmaZulu defender Tebogo Moerane, as well as ex-Baroka FC defender Tshiamo Moswane, on the list of new players at Leopards.
