The Siya crew has learnt that newly promoted PSL side, Black Leopards have already set their sights on acquiring experienced players to help the side retain its PSL status ahead of the new season.
Among the players, Leopards have identified is out-of-favour Orlando Pirates midfielder, Issa Sarr, who has been among the Bucs players linked with an exit from the club.
Lidoda Duvha gained promotion back into the PSL in the play-offs after spending five years in the National First Division. Now the Limpopo-side have wasted no time in making their intentions known and the Siya crew understands that Sarr has been targeted as a potential signing.
“Sarr is a quality international player with a wealth of experience and he could be a great addition to the team. Black Leopards are ambitious and want to make the right kind of signings to build a competitive team,” said a source.
Meanwhile, Soccer Laduma has reported that Sarr has been on the radar of Polokwane City for a time following his uncertain future with the Soweto giants. Sarr has made only six league appearances and two starts in the 2017/18 season and will look to play more regular football in the upcoming season.
