A big decision awaits about Tsepo Masilela – the former Kaizer Chiefs defender who is reviving his career at AmaZulu – after spending more than a year without a club.
Masilela, 34, was signed by AmaZulu late last year, after impressing the team’s head coach Jozef Vukusic in training.
In their announcement in November, the Durban-based club confirmed that the former Bafana Bafana left-back’s contract will run until the end of the season, with an option to extend the deal beyond that.
However, game time has been hard to come by for Masilela under the Slovakian coach as the KwaZulu-Natal outfit is battling against relegation in games leading up to the end of the season.
So far, Masilela has made three starts and two substitute appearances in the last 11 matches in Usuthu's Absa Premiership campaign.
The club is expected to make a decision on the experienced player’s future at the end of the season, once the club’s future itself is known regarding their status in Mzansi’s topflight.
