Exits Begin As Wits Reshuffle Again

After missing out on the Absa Premiership title in 2018/19, Bidvest Wits appear to be making changes as they look to once again challenge for silverware in the season to come.
The Clever Boys finished third in the season just gone, qualifying for next year’s CAF Confederation Cup after a drop in form earlier in the year saw them fall from the top of the league table and replaced by Orlando Pirates and then Mamelodi Sundowns.
Now, as Gavin Hunt plots for the year ahead, the Siya crew has been informed that a number of changes could be in the offing with regards to playing personnel, and it is thought that one of the big names on the way out is Bafana Bafana international, Daylon Claasen.
The attacker has made almost 50 appearances for the Clever Boys since making a return to South Africa from Europe back in 2017, however injuries have made life difficult for him in Braamfontein and Siya sources have suggested that he will not be renewing his contract when it expires at the end of June.
It remains to be seen where Claasen will be playing his football next season, however there has been talk previously with regards to him heading for a return overseas following his stint back in the Premier Soccer League.
