Bidvest Wits have tied down one of their midfielders, extending the player’s stay beyond the current season.
Thabang Monare’s contract with Wits was set to come to an end on June 30, however according to Siya sources, the club had an added two-year option on his deal set in place.

The source has since added that The Students have exercised the added two-year options on the midfielder’s deal, extending his stay until, at least, the end of the 2019/20 campaign.
Monare was signed by The Students from Jomo Cosmos during and was an influential player for Coach Gavin Hunt’s side, who clinched a cup double during the 2016/17 campaign.
The 2016/17 Absa Premiership league winner has since committed his future to The Students, as they look to prepare for a better campaign next season.
