A Bidvest Wits striker is targeted for a move to Free State Stars as the club sees a need to further strengthen the squad for this season.
Following their season start with a win and two losses in their opening three matches in the league and cup, Stars plan to bolster their striking department, according to sources in the know.
Ea Lla Koto have scored two goals and conceded seven from their opening three matches of the campaign in Absa Premiership and MTN8 matches respectively.
Thobani Mncwango has been identified as a potential addition to Stars’ squad for the 2018/19 season, according to sources in Bethlehem.
“Free State Stars are interested in Thobani Mncwango from Wits. You must remember that Mncwango played under Luc Eymael at Polokwane City, so they know each other. The coach is interested in having the player reuniting with him at Stars,” said the source.
As reported by the Siya crew, Mncwango does not appear to be in coach Gavin Hunt’s plans at the Students. The 30-year-old has not been in any of the matchday squads at the Clever Boys so far this season.
