Cape Town City are set to make an official announcement about changes to club’s technical bench.
It was reported in last week’s edition of Soccer Laduma that City’s assistant coach, Ian Taylor, was set to join up with one of Ajax Amsterdam’s development structures in China.
It has been revealed to the Siya crew that Taylor has since departed to the Netherlands, with indications that he has parted ways with the Mother City-based club, although, City are yet to make an official announcement.
Head Coach Benni McCarthy was without the assistant coach’s services during their Absa Premiership clash against SuperSport United at the weekend and indications are that the club is now set to find the next best man to work alongside McCarthy on the technical bench.
Taylor joined up with City in their inaugural season last year, where he worked alongside former Head Coach Eric Tinkler, who guided City to a Telkom Knockout cup win and a third-place finish on the Absa Premiership league standings.
Now, it remains to be seen who City will look to bring in to replace Taylor as McCarthy’s assistant coach.
